The financial, legal and economic impacts of the September 11 terrorism attacks in the US are key subjects to be discussed at a conference being staged next month by the University of Aberdeen’s Prospect CPD.
The all-day event will take place at King’s College Conference Centre on December 12, and comprises a series of high-level talks on subjects including, Global Order and Regime Stability, the Effects on Oil Prices and Supply and Demand, Risks to the UK Economy, the Legal Implications on Commercial Contracts, Financial Fall-out, and Impacts on World Financial Markets. Speakers include internationally acclaimed analysts, and academics from the University.
Jane McDonald, Director of Prospect CPD, described the event as ‘a highly topical and significant conference for the Scottish business community’.
“It is the first formal forum of its kind to provide business leaders with valuable insights into the issues which their companies now face as a result of the events stemming from September 11,” she said.
“The conference will stimulate thought and discussion to help make informed business decisions in the uncertain days ahead. It is very much aimed at looking at the global position and how this may continue to effect the regional economy.”
The conference, which is sponsored by the Press and Journal, is aimed at any organisation from any sector or industry with a general interest in this subject and will be particularly relevant for those organisations operating in the legal, financial and economic sectors, as well as those with an affiliation to the Oil Industry.
