Hundreds expected to attend the University of Aberdeen’s Remembrance Service

More than 500 people are expected to attend an Act of Remembrance Sunday Service in King’s College Chapel being held by the University of Aberdeen this weekend (Sunday, November 12).
Representatives from the Universities’ Air Squadron, the Royal Naval Unit and the Officers’ Training Corps will parade along the High Street, Old Aberdeen at 10.15am, before they enter the Chapel.
Members of the general public, staff and students are invited to attend the service, which will begin at 10.50am.
The ceremony will be attended by Professor Stephen Logan, Senior Vice Principal, Officers and members of The Aberdeen Universities’ Royal Naval Unit; The Aberdeen Universities’ Officer Training Corps; and the East of Scotland Universities’ Air Squadron.
Reverend Easter Smart, BA, MDiv, Chaplain to the University, will lead the service while the Sermon will be preached by the Reverend Roderick Campbell, of St Andrew’s and St George’s, Edinburgh. The Choir of King’s College Chapel, will be directed by Dr Roger B Williams, Director of Music, and Organist to the University.
Following the service, a reception will be held for all guests in Elphinstone Hall.
